Dress Code

Members, and their guests, are expected to dress at all times in an appropriate manner in keeping with the traditional standards and ambience of The Club and time of day. In the formal areas of The Club, being the Drawing Room, the Dining Room and the River Room, unless otherwise specified, gentlemen are to wear a jacket and tie and women are to dress to a similar standard. Members who bring guests to The Moreton Club are kindly asked to inform them of The Club’s Dress Code and to ensure it is observed throughout their visit. Please note that on Thursday Roast nights, the dress code is slightly relaxed for men, with jackets and ties being optional.

The dress code may be relaxed for private functions upon request and for Club functions at the discretion of the General Manager. Relaxed attire is acceptable for Members visiting The Club for reasons other than attending functions and dining in formal areas. This includes flower arranging, attending meetings, informal dining on the verandah or non-formal areas of The Club, or the collection of takeaway food.

Relaxed attire is also acceptable for all in-house guests, on arrival and departure and within the accommodation wing.
